Military Challenge Coins After the Retirement

The coins that are presented to the military officers after retirement cannot be actually termed as military challenge coins. These coins are not that are challenged in the bars or kept as a secret identity how ever the importance of these coins is quite a lot and the officers who are given these coins, keep them in special cases/ boxes/ files/albums, etc through which they can be easily seen and not touched by the hand to avoid making them dirty. There are several people who think that they can manage things in a much better way by getting special glass tables minted for these military challenge coins.

The special glass tables or wall hangings that are made for the military challenge coins are such that the coins are placed within the glass and the glass or the table be tilted the other way round to see the head and tales both sides of the coins without having to touch them which easily makes the surface of the coin dirty. The coins lose their importance once they start getting dirty or black and so the best way to preserve them is to keep them in the special cases they are presented in or in special albums which show both the sides of the coins.

The use of the military challenge coins is not just restricted to the military level but it is being used on several different levels which include other government departments as well as private sectors which use these coins as a mode of advertisement.
